Farewell message by ČAD Chair Šárka Lojdová

Dear members of ČAD and everyone supporting us,

The General Assembly of the Czech Association of Doctoral Researchers took place on Monday, December 11th. We thank all the participants who spent the evening with us. Our activities’ overview can be found in the annual report on our website.

Although there was no board election in 2023, the ČAD committee underwent significant changes.

After over three years as a chair of the association and almost five years on the Board, I decided to step down and pass the baton to others. So, this is my last post as chair. Apart from other things, I was responsible for Fb and read all of your messages and comments, which helped me learn what topics resonated with you and confirmed my belief that the doctoral research community is diverse and inspiring.

My involvement in ČAD brought many experiences into my life that I could not have imagined. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity!🙏

ČAD´s new chair is Jakub Šindelář, with whom I closely cooperated, and I have no doubts the association is in good hands. And, of course, the same is true of other members of the committee (Klára, Marie, and Zbyněk).

I cross my fingers (that is a bit of a weird expression), and I will miss you all!❤️
