The past year was quite turbulent for doctoral education, and we made sure the voice of ČAD was heard. Together with the Student Chamber of the Council of Higher Education Institutions (SK RVŠ), we made the document titled The Standard of Supervision in Doctoral Education and translated it into English. The document reflects our vision of what areas should be covered by this Standard as applied at individual universities. And we have heard that our document is already being discussed at some universities!
We participated in university protests, calling for action towards the approval of the reform of the Czech doctoral studies system.
We did our best to be in touch with you, our members, as much as possible. We’ve had several opportunities to travel to regional universities and meet you at workshops and summer schools.
On top of that, we were in close contact with you via e-mail and social media. We’ve provided consultations on miscellaneous problems and issues that you encounter as doctoral students. However, a lot of work is still ahead of us.

To be effective,ČAD needs active members - you. This is why we encourage you to consider active participation in ČAD and run for the Board.

If the call date does not work for you but you are still interested in getting involved in ČAD, just let us know – we will figure it out!
